About Us

The Riverside Country Inn was built in 1912 by C. B. Jarman in 1912 as a hotel. Located on the banks of the Choptank River in the beautiful small town of Greensboro, Maryland, the Riverside Country Inn is a 10 room hotel with the capability to serve 160 restaurant and tavern patrons. Our beautifully decorated rooms give our customers the comfort and atmosphere of a country bed and breakfast, providing waterfront views and easy access to a wide variety of Eastern Shore activities.
We are centrally located to Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia and Wilmington. They are within a two hour or less travel time. Our guests are close to the Atlantic beaches, NASCAR racing in Dover, the family and gambling attractions at Harrington Fairgrounds as well as many local amenities. Within fifteen minutes are two State Parks (Tuckahoe and Martinak), and the Adkins Arboretum. Historic towns from Oxford to Chestertown are just a short drive through beautiful countryside. Greensboro itself is on the historic Underground Railroad as well as the Civil War Trail.
The Chesapeake Bay and its many rivers are within easy reach, which attracts many sportsmen to the area. They enjoy hunting, boating, fishing, cycling, canoeing, horseback riding, golfing at Hogneck, or Queenstown championship golf courses, and a wide variety of other activities. We are also within very easy access to several public boating ramps. Our beautiful small town setting along the winding banks of the Choptank River provides and atmosphere that will have you returning again and again.
